Leased lines
Get a connection that’s entirely yours
Strengthen your digital foundations with a high-speed connection that isn’t shared with anyone else, guaranteeing performance up to 10Gbps – even during peak times.
Leased lines vs broadband
While business broadband means sharing your fixed-line connection with others, a leased line provides a dedicated, fixed-line connection that belongs to your business alone.
Leased lines come with better security, better service availability and better support.

Leased line FAQs
What’s the difference between a leased line and business broadband?
Standard business broadband is shared between multiple organisations. A leased line is dedicated to just one. This gives you more consistent and reliable connectivity, even during peak times.
How do leased lines compare to full-fibre (FTTP)?
Fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) is a type of broadband operated entirely over fibre cables, making it faster than other types of broadband. However, you still share your bandwidth with other users, which can impact performance during peak times.
A full-fibre leased line also operates entirely over fibre cables, but the connection is entirely yours – meaning consistent speeds regardless of external demand. A leased line also comes with security and services guarantees that aren’t included with FTTP.
What’s the difference between dedicated internet access and a leased line?
There’s no difference. Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) is another name for a leased line, also sometimes referred to as a dedicated leased line, ethernet or direct internet access.
Is a failover solution difficult to manage?
No, a failover solution provides a secondary network that kicks in automatically if your primary connection goes down – minimising downtime risk and protecting business continuity.
